The
L.e.a.r.n. UnProm began out
of a desire, early in the history of L.e.a.r.n., to provide
activities that mirror those that might be missed if not attending
school. Prom was one of those activities that we discussed.
At the time we had few teenage members and so the idea was given a
twist and UnProm was born. After years of fun and family, UnProm
has become its own event mirroring only those who create it.
UnProm
is an all ages, family,
theme-based, costume ball. There is music, dancing, food, games,
and lots of visiting and running around. Those interested in
helping with the preparations will have many opportunities to gather to
make decorations, invitations, and souvenirs.
Many
families use the theme as
part of their studies during the year.
The
theme for Unprom 2009 is Mythology.
